I write supernatural thrillers. Before that, I built experimental aircraft for the U.S. Navy, worked on technology at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and developed software for U.S. intelligence agencies.
The Journey
Most of my career was spent behind clearances and NDAs. The secrecy, the bureaucracy, the gap between what the public knows and what actually happens — that tension runs through everything I write.
Research and Inspiration
I'm a certified first responder and cybersecurity instructor. I spent five years traveling the U.S. in a military truck I converted into an RV, collecting stories from people along the way. I've been a dockmaster, a security guard, a landscaper, a pig farmer. Every job gave me characters. Every conversation gave me material.
Beyond Writing
When I'm not writing, I build furniture, hike, and read too much history.
